MIXED PAPER AND CARDBOARD FOR RECYCLING INCLUDE:
Newspaper, White Envelopes, White & Colored Ledger (Office Paper), Kraft Paper (Brown Grocery Bags), Notebook Paper, Construction Paper, Soft Covered Workbooks, Telephone & Paperback Books, Magazines & Catalogs, Junk Mail (including Envelopes and Coupons), Computer Printout & Fax/Photo Copy Paper, Chipboard/Boxboard (Cereal Boxes, Paper Egg Cartons), Shredded Paper (Must be Placed in Paper Bags).
Cardboard may be placed alongside container. Recycling in plastic bags will not be picked up.
Cardboard and mixed paper should be placed in dumpable container or large box, not thrown loosely to curbside.

Yard waste, clippings and leaves must be placed either in containers that can be dumped and returned to curbside by one person (box or refuse can) or biodegradable paper bags, which will be removed with contents (even if described by the manufacturer as degradable or biodegradable).
Brush must be bundled in lengths no longer than 5 feet.
All yard waste should be placed at curbside the evening before the scheduled day of pick-up.

MIXED CONTAINERS FOR RECYCLING INCLUDE:
Glass Bottles (Clear, Green, Brown), Aluminum Cans, Tin & Bi-Metallic Containers (including Aerosol Cans), Plastic Containers, Plastic Bottles (Grades #1 through #7), Milk Cartons, Juice Boxes, Aluminum Foil, Aluminum Pan and Pie Plates, White Refrigerated/Frozen Food Containers (e.g. Frozen Vegetables)
NON-RECYCLING ITEMS:
Light Bulbs, China, Window Glass, Paint Cans (oil base), Toys, PVC Pipe, Oil Cans, Mirrors, Plastic or Metal Hangers, Plastic Wrap, Styrofoam, Chemical or Hazardous Material Containers.
RECYCLING IN PLASTIC BAGS WILL NOT BE REMOVED FROM CURBSIDE.

Town of Cornwall Bulk Pickup Policy
Any garbage or trash that has not been generated as part of normal household activities during
a given week, must be scheduled to be removed from curbside. This pickup can be arranged by
calling the Highway Garage at 534-2171 or e-mail rconley@cornwallny.gov at which time, you
will be advised when to place the bulk out for removal.
Items that can be picked up:
Household furnishings, bagged, boxed, bundled or packaged neatly
Furniture of any type
Appliances
Metal items
Tires off rims
Items that will not be picked up:
Absolutely NO construction /demolition materials, including roofing shingles, asbestos and
sheet rock
Televisions, computers or monitors
Propane tanks
Hazardous or toxic materials or liquids of unknown
origin
Loose material that is just thrown in a heap or pile
IT IS MANDATORY THAT THE FOREMENTIONED ITEMS BE SCHEDULED FOR PICKUP
