On November 5, 2015, Supreme Court Justice Francesca E. Connolly granted a motion filed by the municipal petitioners to prevent the annexation of 164 acres of land in the Town of Monroe into the Village of Kiryas Joel pending the outcome of the municipalities’ lawsuit challenging the annexation as unlawful.
